A few of my friends from the REI store in Southlake got together for a morning on the water at Lake Grapevine. Tom was nice enough to invite us out using his boats. Beautiful day, though it was a bit windy.

It’s a tradition that former course directors (CDs) are invited to share in the closing luncheon at a Wood Badge (WB) course. I have had the great fortune to be extended an invite to a couple of these this year.

Part 4 — Grand Canyon National Park, North Rim
It can be difficult to get a reservation at the Grand Canyon, either in their campsite or lodge. For several weeks, I kept checking the online reservations and, WOW! We got to stay at the Bright Angel Lodge on the North Rim.
